3.10 Perché ripetiamo le stesse preghiere?
Spesso preghiamo ripetendo una preghiera che già conosciamo. Queste sono le cosiddette preghiere vocali o formali. Potrebbe sembrare noioso, ma pregre non è la stessa cosa che recitare delle parole.
Pregare è qualcosa che si fa con il cuore. Il potere di una preghiera vocale sta anche nella sua ripetizione. Poiché conosciamo già le parole, possiamo stare pienamente con Gesù con il cuore e con la mete. L’app #TcDIO contiene alcune preghiere bellissime.
What is vocal prayer?
In the first place, prayer is lifting the heart to God. And yet Jesus himself taught his disciples to pray with words. With the Our Father he left us the perfect vocal prayer as his testament to show how we should pray.
While praying we should not try to think pious thoughts. We should express what is in our hearts and offer it to God as complaint, petition, praise, and thanks.
